The Board has tentatively targeted June 15 2024 for a yard waste collection day. Due to the inability to find a vendor to perform chipping and removal of chipped material, the HOA Board has chosen to bring in a dumpster for collection of brush. More information will be forthcoming once the date comes closer.
NEW BYLAW (SECTION 5.1.1) CREATED BY BOARD OF DIRECTORS - February 2020
The Deer Creek Farm Homeowner Association has approved the creation of a new Director Pro Tem for the Board on February 5, 2020.
The purpose of this position is to provide training to prepare the Director Pro Tem to be ready to transition into a Director, should the position become temporarily or permanently vacant. This would assure that the Board will be better prepared to continue their work and always have 3 votes on matter that require Board action.
The new Director position will participate in all Board meetings. He/she will be able to introduce concerns, goals, issues and policies to the Board and participate on discussions with the other Directors all matters regarding the HOA. The Director Pro Tem will not be a voting member of the Board, unless he/she is elevated to the position of Director on a temporary or permanent basis.
The election of the Director Pro Tem will be presented at the Annual Meeting on April 7, 2020. Anyone wishing to fill this position may do so by becoming eligible to run as a write-in candidate on the Proxy or nominated at the Annual Meeting.
The Board may fill this position through an election at the Annual Meeting or appointed by the Board.
SECTION 5.1.1 DIRECTOR PRO TEM
The Director Pro Tem will function as a Board Director with the exception of voting rights on the Board. The purpose for this position is to provide training to better prepare the individual to be appointed as a Director, on a temporary or full-time basis. There is no term commitment. This position functions at the pleasure of the Board of Directors.
The election for Director Pro Tem may be presented to the membership at the Annual Meeting. The Board may elect to appoint an HOA member to this position and may temporarily or permanently elevate the Director Pro Tem to Director in the event the Director is incapable of executing his/her responsibilities on the Board or has vacated the position.
